27.06.2008 | Shoot with Belgium photographers at the Slovenian coast
In June, a photographer Philip Tubbax from Belgium wrote that he was coming to Slovenian with his fellow photographer Yaan Bastiaans and would like to have a shoot with me here. I was impressed by their work so I was delighted that they contacted me. We set the date for the shoot to be the 27th of June, at Slovenian coast. We met in the morning at my house and then went to Koper to do a few test photos there and get to know each other a little bit.
Later we went to make up artist Biljana Babic's house. She took care of my make up and hair style and very generously let us use her beautiful house for a shoot. The photographers were impressed by her paintings and decided to use one of the paintings for the background of our first set. The second shoot took place in Biljana’s husband’s gym. Biljana's daughter and niece were there all the time, admiring the shoot, and her cute little dog called Stich was there as well, curious about what was going on. Later we captured a few shots with him and he posed proudly and contributed to some really beautiful photos.
In the afternoon, when the heat outside started to weaken a little bit, Billy changed my make up and hair style and we were all set to go to our third location. In Izola’s harbour, Phil and Yann made a few shots of me in my bikini. We were the main attraction there and had plenty of observers.
But the sun was starting to set, and we moved on to the old part of Izola. I changed into a white summer dress and they took photo’s of me strolling along Izola’s beautiful, old, narrow streets.
For the last final shots we chose Izola’s beach. They placed me standing on the rocks in the sea and they made a few beautiful shots of me with the sunset as our backdrop.
But our paths didn’t set part just yet that day. We spent another 5 days full of laughter and fun together, and we concluded our little adventure with a night shoot with my sister Ana on the streets of Maribor.
